FREELY for Couples

Move Together ~ Feel Together

FREELY is a PG & ADULT shared motion system for couples that transforms movement into connection. It lets couples move in perfect sync — walking, flying, swimming, running, dancing, and being intimate…. with smoothness and effortless control.

Whether you’re exploring a sunset sim hand-in-hand or drifting through a quiet skybox, FREELY turns every shared step into an act of intimacy.

With synchronized motion, pose relay, and responsive physics, FREELY keeps couples aligned and connected in any environment—tight corridors, mesh builds, or open landscapes. Every motion feels fluid and intentional, every transition natural.

FREELY responds instantly to touch and direction, through the HUD and AVsitter menu, empowering spontaneous expression: switch poses, shift pace, or explore new angles without breaking immersion.

At its heart, FREELY is about intimacy through motion. It gives couples the freedom to move as one—to explore, express, and experience closeness through every pose.

For Couples Who Share More Than Space.

FREELY is for partners who believe movement should be meaningful, exploration should be effortless, and intimacy should be experienced on a whim. Every journey becomes a shared story.

ALL ABOUT THE FREELY HUD

POSE RELAY – Touch to view poses chosen by the other sitter. This button activates the AVsitter pose relay system, allowing you to mirror or view the pose initiated by your partner or co-user.

MENU – Touch to reopen the AVsitter menu if it disappears during sim crossings. This button serves as a critical recovery tool, acting as a direct reactivation trigger for the pose system’s menu interface. Sim crossings can cause the AVSitter menu to stop working. Without a recovery mechanism, users would need to touch the object or manually reset the pose system, breaking immersion and flow.

Camera View Select Button

CAMERA – Touch this to see the Camera options menu.  This button activates FREELY’s built-in camera system, allowing you to adjust your viewpoint for immersive scenes or cinematic angles. Default camera angles can feel rigid or disorienting—especially during seated animations.

BOUYANCY CONTROL – Turns red on touch. The Buoyancy Control button is one of FREELY’s most dynamic features—especially for flight and altitude management. Touch to activate altitude control while flying. This allows you to fine-tune your vertical position mid-flight, creating smoother ascents, descents, and hover states.

DRIVE SWITCH – Turns green on touch. Touch to take control of steering.
The button turns green when active, indicating that you are now the designated driver of FREELY. This enables directional movement using your keyboard arrow keys, and pgup or pgdn allowing you to pilot the system with precision.

PHYSICS CONTROL – Toggles physics lock.  The button turns red when active, indicating that FREELY is now locked in place and ready for controlled movement. This acts like an emergency brake, freezing physical motion and enabling directional input with the Arrow button.

PHANTOM CONTROL – Turns red on touch. Enable phantom mode. The button turns red when active, indicating that FREELY is now in a non-colliding state. This allows FREELY to pass through solid objects. Physical collisions can interrupt movement—especially in tight spaces.

DIRECTIONAL ARROWS – Use them to move FREELY when Physics Control is active (Red, Locked). These HUD-based arrows respond to direct touch input—tap for precise nudges, or hold to glide smoothly. Best results when the camera faces avatars from the front.

ROTATIONAL ARROWS – Use these to rotate FREELY left or right while Physics Control is locked (red). Tap for precise turns, or hold to glide smoothly. Ideal for adjusting orientation during pose setup or cinematic framing.

UP / DOWN Buttons – Use these to nudge FREELY vertically when Physics Control is locked. Tap to lift or lower slightly, or hold to glide smoothly. Perfect for adjusting elevation on uneven terrain, furniture, or during locked-mode setups.

Teleport – FREELY’s teleport system is designed to follow your camera direction, giving you intuitive control over where you land. Lock FREELY, zoom camera to destination, touch button to TP (Teleport).

FREELY is not just a product.

It’s a crafted world. One where couples don’t just sit – they move, connect, feel, and make memories.

🕊️ FREELY — Movement & Control Guide

PG & ADULT Shared Motion System for Couples

FREELY’s motion is a hybrid system combining AVsitter animations with keyboard-driven steering. blending expressive animations with smooth directional control.

To walk, run, fly, swim, etc, together, the driver [the avatar with the green steering wheel icon] chooses a pose from the AVsitter menu. This activates synchronized animation for both avatars. Then use the arrow keys to steer FREELY’s motion.

For example, selecting “walk” from the menu will animate both avatars to start walking. Tapping the ↑ (up arrow) moves FREELY forward in incremental speed.

If no animation is selected and you use the arrows alone, FREELY will glide—moving physically, but without avatar motion. For immersive movement, always pair an animation with directional input.

FREELY after all is a vehicle — and like any finely tuned system, there’s can be a bit of a learning curve. But once you get the feel for it, movement becomes second nature.

🎮 Basic Steering and Movement Controls

To initiate movement, first choose an animation from the AVsitter Menu. Example ‘walk’. Then:

  • Forward: Tap the ↑ arrow key to change speeds FREELY supports four speeds—tap to adjust pace.
  • Stop forward movement: Tap the ↓ arrow once to halt forward motion.
  • Backward: Hold the ↓ arrow key to move backward.
  • Turn ← / → : Hold to rotate left or right; release to stop turning.

💡 Tip: Movement and animation are fully synchronized. For cinematic fluidity, change poses while moving.

🪂 Vertical Movement & Altitude

    • Quick lift: Tap Page Up for a short burst upward—useful if FREELY gets stuck near stairs or objects.
    • Smooth ascent: Hold Page Up to rise gradually and gain altitude.
    • Hold altitude: Tap the Buoyancy button to float at your current height.

💡 Tip: FREELY handles rough and uneven terrain with ease—especially with a little guidance from the driver. On steep slopes or staircases with wide gaps between steps, the driver can tap Page Up intermittently to help FREELY climb smoothly to the top.

🧭 Positioning & Locking

  • Lock FREELY: Tap the Lock button to freeze movement—ideal for pose setups.
  • Manual positioning: Use the Arrow button to nudge FREELY into place—especially helpful for bench sit or deck sit animations.

💡 Tip: For poses like bench sit, dock sit, or couch sit, approach the furniture from behind. Walk forward until FREELY bumps into the furniture. Select ‘idle’ from the menu, then tap the Lock to freeze FREELY. Select a pose from the menu. When you’re ready to resume motion, choose any of the movement poses or ‘walk’ ‘idle’, then unlock to continue smoothly.

🌀 Teleporting with FREELY

FREELY’s teleport system is designed to follow your camera direction, giving you intuitive control over where you land. Here are a few helpful techniques experienced avatars use to get the most out of camera‑based teleporting:

1. Teleport where you look
Wherever your camera is pointing, that’s where FREELY will send you.
Look at the ground → land on the ground.
Look at a platform → land on the platform.

2. Zoom onto someone or something
If you Alt‑zoom onto another avatar or object, your camera moves to that spot.
Teleporting after that will take you to the same location (or the nearest safe landing point).

3. Use “Show on Map” for precision
Right‑click a landmark → Show on Map.
A beacon appears.
Alt‑zoom onto the beacon, and FREELY will teleport you toward that location. This is great for navigating large regions or finding exact spots.

4. Teleporting from skyboxes
If you’re high in the air and want to teleport to the ground: Zoom onto someone or something on the ground or Zoom into the open sky. SL will automatically drop you to the nearest safe landing spot below.

5. Teleporting in mid‑air
SL doesn’t allow avatars to arrive at unsupported mid‑air positions.
If your camera is pointed at empty air, SL will place you on the nearest surface below — usually the ground or a platform.

This is a limitation of Second Life, not FREELY.

🔄 Recovery & Realignment

FREELY is vehicle and is designed to move smoothly across most terrain, but occasionally movement can become unstable — especially after collisions with uneven surfaces, curbs, or mesh edges. When this happens, FREELY may lean forward, tilt, or continue a walk/run animation even after movement stops.

This is normal, and there’s a simple fix:

Use the “Idle” pose and a tap on PG Up to reset FREELY.
Switching to Idle and tapping PG UP does three important things:

Stops the current walk/run state
(useful when FREELY keeps “pushing forward” after a collision)

Resets tilt and lean
(perfect for moments when FREELY is stuck leaning forward or sideways)

Re‑syncs AVsitter with the movement engine
(so both avatars return to a stable base pose)

Example:
If a driver hits a sidewalk or curb and FREELY leans forward dramatically, tapping the arrow keys may not correct it. Even if you’re not the one driving, you can switch the pose to Idle to instantly stop motion and right the system.

Once FREELY is stable again, simply choose a new pose and continue moving.

❤️ Summary

FREELY makes shared movement in Second Life feel natural and connected.
